Accessibility on www.panarocases.nl

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standard defines requirements to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Panaro Srl is currently partially conforming with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

The website makes available the UserWay PRO accessibility widget that is powered by a dedicated accessibility server. The software allows Panaro Srl to improve its compliance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1). UserWay’s accessibility menu can be enabled by clicking the accessibility menu icon that appears on the corner of the page. After triggering the accessibility menu, please wait a moment for the accessibility menu to load in its entirety.

UserWay PRO widget provides multiple functions for improving website accessibility and user experience, through a special panel that can be viewed by clicking on the widget icon or via keyboard shortcut CTRL+U, as listed below.

  • Screen reader: reads all page contents aloud without having to install an external reader.
  • Dictionary: allows dictionary consultation without having to leave the website. Indispensable for those with cognitive disabilities, non-native English speakers and so on.
  • Larger text: increases the size of the text on the screen by offering four different augmentation levels, making every part of the website instantly more readable.
  • Saturation: sets the colour intensity of a website to high, low or greyscale.
  • Contrast: reverses the colours of a website or allows switching between light and dark contrast modes.
  • Smart Contrast: ensures that all colours on the website are fully ADA compliant, guaranteeing greater content visibility.
  • Highlighted link: emphasises links, buttons and other interactive and clickable elements with clear, high-contrast colours, making them easier to identify and facilitating website usability, browsing and general accessibility.
  • Stop animations: pauses content that moves or updates automatically and is considered a barrier to accessibility, interrupts animations and flashing content that is distracting and can trigger seizures in individuals at risk.
  • Text spacing: modifies text and line spacing to improve readability for dyslexic and visually impaired users, offering three degrees of adjustment for a customised and more accessible reading experience.
  • Line spacing: increases line height to ensure more comfortable spacing for all text in place.
  • Text alignment: aligns the text on the website left, right or centre to ensure a customised and more accessible reading experience.
  • Dyslexia-friendly font: the UserWay Dyslexia Friendly font improves readability and provides an easier and smoother reading experience for users with dyslexia.
  • Large cursor: increases the standard cursor size by 400% so that the pointer is always visible. It allows faster and more accessible browsing through hyperlinks, tabs and module elements.
  • Tips: shows alternative text and ARIA labels for items on the screen simply by hovering over them with the mouse. The tips are clearly visible, high-contrast and easy to read for visually impaired users with accessibility requirements.
  • Page structure: quickly reveals page titles, bullet points and links in a clear, structured, easy-to-browse and accessible manner. It helps disabled and non-disabled users find the desired content more quickly.

In addition to the functions that the user can activate from the accessibility menu, the UserWay PRO widget can detect numerous website non-conformities and make the necessary corrections in real time, without changing the source code, but only what the browser displays on the monitor. This allows the website to be more usable by all end users, including those using assistive technologies.

The main known non-conformities are the following:

  • in some cases, page elements do not clearly indicate their purpose or function;
  • some visual information is not properly structured in the code (such as lists or headings), which can compromise navigation using assistive technologies and the interpretation of content hierarchy;
  • some information does not have adequate color contrast;
  • some content is not usable with a keyboard;
  • in some sections, keyboard navigation is not appropriate, preventing free exploration of the content;
  • some video content does not have content management controls, risking interfering with screen readers or creating confusion for the user;
  • in some sections, the order of information accessed via the keyboard is inconsistent with the meaning of the content;
  • some elements do not provide feedback that explicitly indicates the success of a user action;
  • some content does not have unique attributes, making it difficult for blind or mobility-impaired users who use assistive technologies to interact with the page;
  • in some cases, page elements do not clearly indicate their purpose or function.
